You can apply if

  • You're an active, full-time undergraduate at the University of Lagos
  • Unpaid charges or hostel fees are putting your registration, exams or studies at risk
  • You're willing to provide your portal fee invoice, course registration slip and result docket

You can't apply if

  • You're not currently an active, full-time UNILAG undergraduate
  • NELFUND or another bursary already fully clears your obligation for this session
  • You've already applied with your matric number

If you're shortlisted, you'll upload your student ID, portal invoice, course registration or result printout, and any proof of hardship.

Frequently asked questions

Will the money be paid to me?

No. If you're selected, payment is remitted to the designated official channel or your Remita / portal account, so it goes straight to clearing your fees.

I'm on NELFUND. Can I still apply?

Only if it doesn't fully clear your obligation for this session. If NELFUND or another bursary already covers everything, you're not eligible. If you've applied and are still waiting, or were only partly awarded, you can apply.

I'm in 100L and don't have a CGPA yet.

You can still apply. Choose "Not applicable (Freshman 100L)" when the form asks for your CGPA.

What happens after I apply?

You'll get a reference number straight away. Keep it. If you're shortlisted, we'll email your UNILAG student address a personal link and access code to upload your supporting documents. Only shortlisted applicants can reach the upload page.

Can I apply more than once?

No, there's one application per matric number. Check your answers on the review step before you submit.

My connection dropped halfway through.

What do you do with my personal information?
